Friday Playlist: A Random Mix by Kelly Phillips Erb

This week’s Friday Playlist comes from excellent blogger Kelly Phillips Erb. Kelly writes LawMummy - and from there you can also reach her other online endeavors. I give Kelly the award of Blogger Able to Write about Taxes in a Way That’s Both Informative and Entertaining. (Maybe I should work on that award title…)

Kelly called up this random playlist for us. Enjoy her notes on each song, too!

Beautiful Again - Martina McBride. I grew up in NC and I love country music. Martina is one of those who has managed to remain fresh and modern without selling out. She has an amazing voice. I could listen to her all day.

Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol. This is one of my favorite songs right now. I just love the melody, it’s very haunting.

Twelve Days of Christmas - Kermit the Frog. It had to happen - I mean, coming up on random. I still have a lot of Christmas music in my shuffle because my kids have refused to let it go. My two year old is particularly into this one. I can’t even skip by it on the iPod without hearing, “Waaa-it! That’s Kermit the Frog.” Damn frog.

Amazing, Because It Is The Almost. I just heard these guys a couple of weeks ago and I bought almost every song on the album one by one. They’re really cool.

18 and Life - Skid Row. {shudder} My dirty secret is out. I grew up in the 80s. I like pop music and hair bands. I wore chiffon scarves in my hair and rubber bracelets up my arms. Like everyone else of my generation, I practiced lip syncing “Holiday” with a hairbrush in front of the mirror. Sigh. I kind of miss that. Where’s my hairbrush…?

Thanks so much, Kelly!
